About the Arboretum Neighborhood Association
The Arboretum Neighborhood Association, Inc. (ANA) was founded and incorporated as a Wisconsin non-stock corporation in 1996 to link together the residents of the Arboretum Neighborhood. In 2008, the ANA was granted tax exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service, and all donations to the ANA therefore are eligible for a tax deduction. Mission of the ANA:
(a) to improve the welfare of the residents in the Neighborhood by working as an Association to address concerns and resolve problems, and to protect and preserve the Neighborhood’s unique historical and natural characteristics; and
(b) to assist in actively protecting the UW Arboretum and adjacent Lake Wingra from intrusions that would disrupt their ecosystems.
